Review

Aiper is back with another pool-cleaning robot: the Seagull Plus. With a larger chassis, bigger battery, and more suction power, one would expect a cleaner pool. However, in testing, the Seagull Plus fell short of expectations.

Specifications

The Seagull Plus weighs 13.8 pounds and features a 7800mAh battery pack that promises 110 minutes of running time, covering 1,300 square feet of pool space. Charging takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Despite these specs, the Seagull Plus failed to deliver on its cleaning capabilities.

Performance

Upon testing, the Seagull Plus immediately got stuck in the shallow end of the pool, struggling to navigate. It ran for only an hour, well below the promised running time, and left a significant amount of debris untouched.

Comparing it to the smaller Seagull SE, the Plus model performed poorly, with the SE outperforming it in cleaning efficiency.

Pros and Cons

On the positive side, the Seagull Plus is easy to disassemble for cleaning, drains water quickly, and is only $100 more than the SE model. However, its ineffectiveness at cleaning, short running time, and stiff power switch are major drawbacks.

Verdict

While the Seagull Plus offers minor improvements in design and functionality, its core purpose of cleaning the pool falls short. At $399.99, it may seem like a good deal compared to the SE model, but the performance gap is significant. We recommend sticking with the smaller Seagull SE for better results.

In conclusion, the Aiper Seagull Plus fails to live up to its promises of enhanced power and performance, making it a disappointing choice for pool cleaning.
