The Test Environment
My yard’s slope makes for a challenging environment for robot lawn mowers. For the initial tests, I deployed the Navimow i110N only on specific areas of my yard.
Installation, Set-Up, and Mapping
The Navimow i110N comes preassembled with its battery charged just enough for you to complete registration. The set-up process was straightforward, although I experienced some connectivity issues initially. Mapping the yard was a bit time-consuming but essential for the mower’s navigation.
Performance
The Navimow i110N performed well in cutting grass, providing a clean and precise cut. However, it struggled on steep slopes and lacked cliff detection, requiring manual intervention in certain areas.
The Segway Navimower App
The Segway app provides essential controls and information about the mower’s status, including satellite signal strength and remaining blade life. Scheduling and monitoring the mower’s activities are easy through the app.
Optional Add-Ons
Segway offers optional accessories for the Navimow i110N, including a garage attachment for protection, a module for LTE connectivity, and antenna extension kits. These add-ons enhance the functionality and protection of the mower.
Should You Buy a Segway Navimow i110N?
If you have a mostly flat 1/4-acre yard and are looking for a budget-friendly robot mower with advanced navigation features, the Navimow i110N is a solid choice. However, for larger or sloped yards, the front-wheel drive system may pose challenges.
